The Georgikon Campus of the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences organizes the Georgikon Days Scientific Conference for the 65th times, will take place between May 17th – 18th, 2024.
The event was founded by two outstanding agricultural scientists Sándor Belák and Géza Láng at the former Keszthely Agricultural Academy in 1958. The primary aim of the conference is to discuss the latest scientific results as well as to facilitate the practical application of the new procedures and outcomes.
The main thematic area of the 2024 conference is Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is supposed to be a significant breakthrough point for the Hungarian economy.
The magnitude impact of GDP-increasing value of artificial intelligence is estimated at thousands of billions of dollars worldwide and the profit of companies relying on its application is expected to increase significantly. Among its effects improved operational efficiency, reduction of risks and transformation of production chains has to be highlighted. AI is also changing the labour market by replacing hundreds of millions of jobs worldwide and creates such positions which produce even higher added value than before.
