Buildings

The educational and research activity and accommodating students take place in several buildings in Keszthely. Building A is located in the centre of the town, while Buildings D and E together with the Student Centre can be found in the southern part of the town next to the student hostel. Altogether there are nine auditoriums with 100-250 people’s capacity. The number of 20-40 people’s capacity lecture room is 25 and 5 of them are equipped with PCs for the students. Number of teaching and research laboratories for specialized equipment is in about 25. In recent years a major investment project has finished in 2013 the “Bio-innovation Research and Service Centre” which facilities, instrumentation constantly expanding, houses the following laboratories:

• Biotechnology Laboratory
• Measurement and Diagnostic Service Centre
  • Plant Health Diagnostic Laboratory
  • Soil Quality Laboratory
  • Forage Analytical Laboratory
  • Test Laboratory for Plant Protection Machines

Field experiments and practical training mainly takes place on the Experimental and Demonstration Farm. The crop production, animal breeding and horticultural training and research facilities are located in the immediate vicinity of the Halls of Residence.

Student residence can be provided in a larger and two smaller buildings for a total of 516 people.
